Message from Dr Simon Bourne FRCP(UK) CEO at my mhealth
April 16, 2020
my mhealth would like to thank all of you, working in the NHS, for all that you are doing during the current COVID-19 pandemic, you will have been joined this week too, by many of our my mhealth clinicians (nurses, physiotherapists and doctors) who have also returned to work in a clinical capacity.
COVID-19 has had a profound impact on the health service. With the current focus on reducing transmission through social distancing most of the conventional day-to-day healthcare provision for patients with long-term conditions has been cancelled. Some of these patient groups have been identified within the Coronavirus (COVID-19): shielded patient list. This places them further away from any available healthcare and further into social isolation.
my mhealth want to help
We believe we have a solution that will support you and your colleagues to co-manage your patients with long-term conditions. The my mhealth platform includes Apps for COPD, Asthma, Diabetes (Type 1 and 2) and Heart Disease as well as our new COVID-19 Virtual Ward App. The COVID Virtual Ward has been designed so providers can set up a virtual ward to enable clinicians to monitor and manage patients diagnosed with or suffering from symptoms of COVID-19 without the need for them to visit your GP surgery or hospital. This app integrates with our other apps as necessary to provide a complete solution for managing and monitoring patients during this pandemic.
NHS approved and certified by the MHRA these evidence-based interventions will help patients and HCPs work together, during and beyond this pandemic, on almost any device that connects to the internet. The platform also interfaces with leading glucometers, BP machines and scales.
